If somebody has a small non visible part of their body with vitiligo, are they medically disqualified to obtain a flight physical ?

It probably depends on how the medical reviewer interprets the commissioning standards. Vitiligo is generally thought to be an autoimmune condition, and under DoD commissioning standards, any "disorder" of the immune system is disqualifying for commissioning. If your reviewer at N3M is a strict interpreter of the instruction, you'll need to get a waiver simply for commissioning. If you either meet standards for commissioning, or get a waiver, if you want aviation you'll have to get a flight physical. Again, depending on the reviewer, you may or may not require another waiver recommendation. Vitiligo isn't specifically covered in the Aeromedical Waiver Guide. You can't get a flight physical before getting approved for commissioning.

It's not that a spot on your skin is a safety of flight concern, but people with vitiligo are more prone to other conditions that can also be disqualifying and could cut short your career.
