Fighter Pilot who doesn't talk about himself?

Don't hold back ... as most Marines I knew did "think out loud" ... that's why it was so easy to read their minds ... when you could find it. The mind, that is ...
... and I can't help it if your 15 years has been .... "lacking", shall we say??? Not my problem ... The only thing I didn't "do" was join the Marines ... signed up with the Marine Option .... lugged an 81mm mortar around my neck for a week @ Pendleton ... rode on top a tank into a "Vietnamese" ville during an "assault" .... we would have all died, if it was "real", BTW -- great tactics .... and after blowing dirt out of my nose and picking it out of my ears for three days afterwards --- I opted out of USMC for clean white sheets, fair winds, and following seas .... plus, the flyin' was better in Big Blue.
I apologize for you having to live vicariously through yours truly. What else would you like to know ... ???
If they have landed on the boat I don't have too much of a problem with it, and that is what all the ones I know did. As for the AF badges, with all the new ones we have we are not ones to talk, especially when you see people walking around with the Integrated Undersea Surveillance System Badge.

No, he was a white fat guy, and there are no vipers at my base, just eagles and strike eagles.

That is the comment of a complete dick; officer or not. I've been out of work with the airlines, and it is frightening to contemplate when you have a family to support. And just what would your point be, in any case ???
Negative rep for your idiocy ... a fine officer of Marines, I'm sure ... HAL can defend himself; he doesn't need me to do it. It seems like you're just looking for a fight today ..... ???
I'll put my money on HAL in 5 years rather than on YOU ... you know; when you retire and try to figure which side is .... up. At 42 .... 43 .... 44 .... pick one ???

Add my Navy retirement to my Citation and 727 gigs, I'm making more money now then I ever have in my life. And it's a hard week if I fly more than 3 days......so I actually do have plenty of time to think....plus plenty of time for my daughter, plenty of time to play and the money to make it all happen. I'm not complaining. Life is sweet.
Still, I can't wait to get back to Hawaiian...it has the second retirement, a great QOL and after I've been back for a little over a year the money will be back to where I'm at now. From there, it will only get better. Also you can't beat the camaraderie. It's a small pilot group and almost like being back in a squadron. You don't have to worry about being stuck in a cockpit with jokers like USMC Helo Bubba because they don't make it through the interview.
When USMC Helo Bubba retires or leave the Marines, he'll find out just how much his lack of a personality will cost him.....
