My retirement ceremony was the first of this month. Kinda small and simple, just the way I wanted it. The guys at work had some really good things to say and then they presented me with this.

One more for the stable from my wife. Darn coyotes have been waking me up a bit earlier than needed. Three days ago I caught one peeing on one of my cherry trees. She thought I might like this...a .25/06 guided by a Burris 6.5-20X50. Good times.

Congrats on the retirement, feddoc. More range time now, yes?

Feddoc, how do you like the .25/06 round? I've been trying more of the different calibers and sizes, I really liked the 22-250.

I've seen retiring Chiefs get a pistol similar to that from the Mess when they retire. That's a nice looking pistol that they presented you.

MB,

It is a .44.

I have yet to fire the .25/06. Been a .220 Swift fan for a long time, thought I would try something a bit heavier for coyotes and something my kid can use on deer. My reloading equipment is still in storage so I had to go with, gulp, three boxes of factory ammo.

One of the Chiefs made the box (as awell as the shadow box). He does nice work.

Nice thing about being a Doc AND a varminteer ... after you blast the beggars, you can triage 'em ... :) ... just for practice.
