My point was that they'll only be there 3-4 months and she'll probably want attention and help and he won't be able to give her all that she wants/needs during that short period of time because of his schoolwork.

I will admit that I am sensitive to the "overly worried mother" line- that is usually what people a generation older than me say to dismiss the current generally accepted parenting "ideas", and as I'm on the backside of my 20's, hearing that wears on my nerves. But, that's my problem.
