My point was that they'll only be there 3-4 months and she'll probably want attention and help and he won't be able to give her all that she wants/needs during that short period of time because of his schoolwork.

I think that regardless of any of our opinions or experiences, it will be Mrs NavySTL that makes the ultimate decision.

I don't think flynsail meant to criticize you or hurt your feelings. At least I didn't read it like that. I certainly didn't, and hope I didn't come across that way. It's hard to read someone's tone when you only have the typed word to go by. :)

I popped out four kids. Had dozens, upon dozens of stitches with our 2nd...(tmi I know, :icon_tong ) and managed to fly half way across the country twice as well as from the US to Japan. It wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world....... but seeing my husband, and him seeing his new born baby was more than worth the discomfort! I'd do it all again in a heart beat.

flynsail- Understood. When they changed the format of the site, they should have added a sarcasm meter...it'd help clear up confusion. ;) I will admit that I am sensitive to the "overly worried mother" line- that is usually what people a generation older than me say to dismiss the current generally accepted parenting "ideas", and as I'm on the backside of my 20's, hearing that wears on my nerves. But, that's my problem.

Overly-worried mother was just used to mess with ya. It probably has a negative connotation I never considered. Never again! :eek:
