Hey all, hoping someone can help me out with this one.
I am looking to apply for SNA/SNFO and my distant vision is fine. Where I have problems is with Color Vision. I only get about 3/4 of those color plate tests correct, so I have definently have an issue. In reading this forum and browsing the web I know the Navy will issue a FALANT test which is easier to pass for mild color-vision deficient people like myself.
I would like to take a FALANT test before I start my application to know if it is worth putting SNFO/SNA on my application when I send it in. I have asked my recruiter about taking a FALANT test and he doesnt seem to know the answer.
Does anyone know where a civilian or possibly military FALANT test can be taken before actually going to MEPS when someone is pro-rec'd? I don't want to waste my or the Navy's time with applying for positions I know I cannot accept.
Thanks!
