FA-18 Super Hornet Crash off Monterey

Just saw that on the news- apparently four airmen are missing. Obviously, very sad news.

Anyone know what this is all about? Experimental flight? I heard they crashed into each other.

Thoughts and prayers to them, their families, and everyone at Lemoore NAS. It hit me kinda hard 'cuz my recruiter took me and a few other applicants there last January and we saw and talked with a couple pilots and NFOs...don't know if any of them were involved in the accident though.

Those pilots from what I read were from VFA-41, the Aces were one of the Tomcat squadron's from my old CAG. I might have made cruise with those guys back in '99.

Its wierd how small our community really is.
