Does the Navy have any intention to lower the vision requirements for pilot duty? Look at the USAF for example. They already lowered the vision requirements for pilot duty to 20/50. And what about refractive surgery? Are they going to authorize PRK, or not?

They are allowing some PRK at this point in time. The deal seems to be that you have to get it approved by BUMED prior to going to NOMI. Even then you'll probably be NPQ'd and have to spend another month getting BUMED to notify NOMI that you've been cleared on it. I have a friend who this happend to back in Dec. and he is now down in P'cola in API.

Not that I know of. The only problem is that they still do not have all the specific requirements set up yet, so they are doing their approvals on an individual basis right now.
