eye muscle surgery

Hey,

I couldn't find anything in the posts so I thought I'd ask. As a kid I had a surgery to correct a slight turn out of my eyes i.e. eye muscle surgery. I checked the link to MEPS and couldn't find anything mentioned about it. Does that mean I don't need a waiver for that?

I've never heard of that before, but I'm guessing that might be something you'd wish to disclose. At the very least, you need to consult someone in the military medicine field, specifically someone who's familiar with the flight physical arena (if that's what you're trying to do).

Yea, probably not an issue, but you must disclose it. Since the MEPS Docs are not opthamologists (they are barely physicians), they will likely ask for an eye consult from a civ doc. Don't sweat it.
