Engraving on Navy Sword

Has anybody had this done to their sword on the Navy side? My dad handed his down to me and we wanted to get our names/commissioning dates engraved into it.

Was curious if anybody ran into any problems or what the cost of having something like this done is. Also, where on the sword did you have the engraving done?

I haven't gone to any shops yet but just wanted to get an idea.

My Grandfather had it done here. He's used them since he was active duty. Our names are etched and dyed one on each side of what I guess would be called the top fuller. He said be patient if the old guy answers the phone.
