Drill baby drill!
By far the best airline I have ever flown.

I flew on a 777 out of London, hot stewardesses with british accent, good food, lots of leg room.

Personal TV screen with a ton of movies and music.

Hot face towel, awesome beverage service, and by far the coolest part were the cameras.

For take off and landing they would turn the nose camera on, and during flight they had the belly camera on so you could watch the landscape below which was awesome considering I was in the middle section of the plane.

Very enjoyable leg of a very long journey.

I agree, they were the best airline I ever flew. The stewardesses were all smokin' and the service was great. I flew coach and it was equivilant to business class in the states. Oh yeah, it was also a decent price too.

The airline that almost always tops the customer service surveys is Singapore, I have not had the pleasure of flying them yet. The Singapore Girls, as they are still called apprently, can be fired if they do cannot fit into their outfits, which are........very nice :icon_smil

Now if I can only convince the boss to send me to that conference in Singapore.......:D

I didn't think Singapore Airlines was all that great. I have liked Lufthansa the best of all my international flights so far. Don't remember what the stewardesses looked like, but the beer cart and hot-roll cart came by about every 10-15 minutes.

Edit: My impression of Singapore Airlines may have been tempered by their airport security that drove me completely ape-shiat before I even sat down.

Dbl Edit: It wasn't bad - just not the best I have had.

Anyone flown Virgin Atlantic? I've heard they're quite nice as well.

How bout the opposite. You cant even get a bag of peanuts on a North West flight anymore. Unless you wanna shell out a buck that is. And all the flight attendents left are senior (and I mean senior).

I hear NWA doesn't even let their pilots drink before a flight anymore. The humanity!

Hey man, if you had to deal with old flight attendents and no peanuts.. youd wanna knock back a few yourself.

Virgin Atlantic is pretty sweet, food is top-notch (for airline food at least), booze is plentiful, and the service was nice...but best of all, comfortable seating even in coach.

Agree about Virgin Atlantic. Stewardess' on my flight were simply beautiful; must have had 300 movies to choose from on personal screens, hundreds of CD's to listen to, many games and cool little gift packets with moist towlettes, eye cover, toothbrush, mints and other goodies. Most importantly food was awesome. That nose cam and belly cam sounds pretty nice on Emirates

Scandinavian also does the camera thing, you can even switch between them, as well as a continously updated flight map, all on one's personal screen. Food and booze selection is also awesome.

Best food I've ever had on a flight was on SN Brussels, a Belgian airline, with a close runner up Pulkovo, out of St Pete, Russia (although their planes were...rustic). Yeah, I've flown to some weird places.

No offense, Flash, but I thought that Singaporean Girl looked like she was beaten with the Ugly Chain. Maybe I just don't have a thing for Asian's or something.

Anyone try this airline's service? http://www.hootersair.com/

He'll dazzle you with terms like "Code Red."
Eva air is not bad either.

They still have a number of "aesthetic requirements" for their stewardesses (not "flight attendants") that would now be illegal in the US.

I think my favorite has to be VR-59 out of NAS Fort Worth, the self described Aviation Safety Specialist's were courteous and friendly, the fares to Kaneohe cant (can not, cant, cant', Kant) be beat, and I got to sit up in the cockpit and hear a whole bunch of sea stories. Sure they might land at a different airport than was planned, and you might get delayed 5 hours out of Hickam, but the experiences last a lifetime... plus the fares are midshipman friendly!
