I am an Airman over at Lackland AFB. I am currently in Phase II, studying to become a Lab Tech. Just this morning, I went to the REID clinic to see if I can get a cream or ointment for my eczema. Keep in mind, I have self-diagnosed myself as having eczema (in other words, it may not even be eczema) and THE DOCTOR/CAPTAIN HAS GIVEN ME AN OINTMENT BEFORE. This time around, they threaten to discharge me for this medical condition. I have yet to be scheduled with a dermatologist to confirm whether or not I have eczema. Since I am already an Airman (for over 1 year now), will they still kick me out even if I do have eczema? I read about the small pox vaccine. If I do go overseas, can't I simply avoid having the vaccination?
