I NEVER did it on my last cruise. We only did it for the Red Lions when they were TU.

It's no different than you guys going out for some mundane SSC mission, where nothing is really going on. In plane guard we can do anything we want within 20 NM, and that can sometimes include DLQs, SAR practice, GUNNEX, and other "things" limited to the HAC's imagination.

You're telling me the -57 has a suite? Is that what they're calling a TACAN these days?

The 57C has VOR, TACAN, NDB/ADF, RNAV, GPS, ILS and a crude AFCS.

57B is pretty much TACAN and a radio.
