NEWS EA-18 Growlers might carry and deploy drones

Didn't the Brits have a similar weapon, I think named "ALARM", back in the early 90's?

After they threat left the Kill Box........when the operators turn the trons back on.......when they think the Weasel is gone. If NG can get it to work in an operational environment, then I'm a fan.

It doesn't appear to be a kinetic device. Did you read the story?
 
S-3’s dropped something similar called “TALD”. Tactical Air Launched Decoy. Some good stories about their deployment during Gulf I.

Ya. Tons of platforms can carry that or something similar. This is hardly revolutionary technology. Sounds like a high loiter time SLAM-ER with L16 and sensors.

Well, for me, at the time, it was pretty cool. I’m definitely not someone on the leading edge of EW & EA like some here. Today however, I did get a classified brief on F-35 that filled in all the “gaps” in my knowledges. Definitely some cool stuff !!!
