That's fascinating that most are married now. I was married during primary, which was a minority at the time, and our "married" preference ran the opposite, about 75% still wanted tacair. But I really appreciate the insight and the time you took to respond.

I hope the priority on families pays off. For those of us first tour and married types, our divorce rate ran somewhere north of 75-80%, just slightly less than the Seals divorce rate, so there was a price to be paid. I paid it, both figuratively and literally: it's called CHILD SUPPORT! And less anyone forgets, our kids paid an even higher price, so I do applaud those folks putting families first.

Hey CU, thanks for the comments. Your comment that it would be nice to go snag a few traps and then come back home are brutally honest and also reflective of the sentiments of many who leave after their initial obligation or later. When I finally walked away, and to this day, in fact, my thoughts were and are how nice it'd be to go grab a few day traps, eat a cheeseburger in the wardroom, smell a little JP-5, and then cat off the front end to catch an early movie with the kids. If only.....
