Duane's Syndrome - Navy/Marine pilot slot

My son is interested in the Marine PLC program and wants to fly, but he has duane's syndrome and I was trying to find out if anyone knows if this will cause him to be disqualified. Or does anyone have a contact that I can call regarding this issue.

I know a guy who was NPQ'ed for this during the flight physical at NAMI. He has a very mild case (as in, he didn't even know he had it until he had the exam done at NAMI) and originally was offered NFO instead, but then at OCS found out that he would have to go ground if he wanted to be a Marine.
