Hi all - just passed my MEPS exam. It was actually a physical performed by civilian doctors and sent to TN for review. I thought some things were going to require a waiver but to my surprise (and delight) my med history form did not trigger a single request for documentation (completely accepted as is). My candid concern is that the folks down at NAMI are going to require waivers that I haven't been granted and I incur a risk of getting a commission, and then losing my slot in flight school. I don't think I should have any problem obtaining said waivers, but I am aware that there is a backlog of pilots for flight school and accordingly that the Navy has an incentive to find ways to reduce the backlog.
My recruiter assures me that anything addressed in the initial history form is not fair game to be brought up at NAMI. I have no reason to doubt him, he's been very honest and straightforward with me so far. I'm just crossing my i's and dotting my t's so to speak. Does anyone else have experience that would support or negate my recruiter's sentiments? Anyone been to NAMI and had them challenge the work/waivers that MEPS did?
Thanks guys!
