What is the deal with RVs and Mobile Homes? Do we get paid to move them?

Or does this fall under the same crap that they will pay you to move your own single axle utility/boat trailer, but 2 axles or more, and you are on your own.

MB, I moved my fifth wheel from China Lake to Lemoore in late 2003 and was paid to do so, sort of. Had to weigh it empty and loaded and got paid for the weight of my stuff in it.

WRT a mobile, When I moved from Lemoore to Fallon, I considered buying a mobile for my oldest son and was told that if it were my mobile then DoD would pay for it.

Your local personal property office should have the latest gouge.

They should tell you it's empty weight before you buy it, then just weigh it again to get the weight of your stuff. I don't think it would be necessary to take all your stuff out when the maker has already listed it's empty weight.
