difference between BDCP and OCS

I just wanted to know if there was a major difference between BDCP and OCS. I know you apply BDCP during college, but are BDCP and OCS two different programs? If I was in college at a school without NROTC is BDCP the only way I could become a Naval officer?

BDCP is a scholarship program that gives you money and binds you to an OCS contract (i.e., if you DOR at OCS, you're going to boot camp). BDCP is not a different commissioning source, both roads lead to OCS.
