Like taking a test. When you get answers wrong you lose points. So you start with 100 and when the officers first come in they ask you questions and if you get them wrong it's "-1". Bearing, wrong answers, and your worn uniform typically cause you to lose points with the officers portion. When the DI comes in and goes through your locker, they will take off points for improper folds, missing items, irish pennants, you not being loud enough. Below 80 is a failure. You get two chances or you roll to the next class. Things may have changed in the past 2 years though as I'm not sure they have the officer and DI portions done during 4th week RLP concurrently anymore.
