December commissioning

Hi all, I’m commissioning this December and I was wondering if others have done the same thing and what the timeline is for nife and primary(start dates). I’m not really looking to be stashed long. Will I really get “ahead of the game” in front of the spring graduates with nife and primary, and what’s the likelihood of my detailer giving me a start date in Feb or early March? Thank you!

First flight….Christmas morning! There is no rest for the weary.

Just kidding, I have no idea what they’ll do but study hard and work hard.

Talk to your unit staff. They probably seen / had dec commissionings before and can give you a ballpark answer.

25 years out, but I was a December ROTC grad, stashed at school until May time frame, got down to Pensacola and all the Academy and spring guys were already there and I started after most of them.

I would like to think they base it off of your commissioning date, but who knows.....

If you aren't stashed for a long time you should class up relatively quick. I got down to Pcola at the end of April and had zero wait time for NIFE, and I'm quite certain it was like that for a couple months prior to me getting there. After all the spring grads had checked in that was when it started to bottleneck; however, as previously stated your class up time is completely dependent on when you commission so chances are you'll skip the line.
