Boogity Boogity Boogity it's time to go racing! Who's your pick? I'm going with Dale Jr.

Why does it even matter? It's such a boring race...all the cars look the same and then just go in one large circle. Look into JGTC, WRC or DTM if you want to see some good racing.

I agree with Patmack. I used to hate watching racing on tv until I went to a Busch series race last spring. It was awesome. I know you hear this a lot about things, but TV does not do racing justice. It's so incredibly loud. And this is just the Busch drivers, mind you. When you get to go into the pit area and see what all goes on, and how much they work towards making the most powerful, fastest, & aerodynamic car, it's pretty incredible. Anyways, it was a good race, and I was glad to see DEI win.

I know all about how technical it is, don't worry about that. I'm well aware that it's all about technique (drafting, tuning, track knowledge) but that doesn't change the fact that it's boring. They're going in a big ass circle...that's it. I prefer seeing guys take their cars through the twisties and such. Or drifting, if any of you guys are familiar with that. Different strokes I guess, whatever.

To each his own... You do have a good point, Ryoukai. No matter how technical it gets. It's still one big circle. :)

i went to a few races when i went to riddle. i thought it was really cool for like 10 mins, but after that when you see a car go in a circle once, youve seen it a 1000 times. plus with the restricer plates it makes the race boring as hell, it takes like 2 laps to get up to top speed.

NeoCortex: You should have seen it from the stands (I live in Daytona and scored some free tickets from a family friend) The low pass AF1 made prior to the race was awesome in itself, but watching that VC-25 take off out of Daytona International is unbelievable. The only commercial traffic out of Daytona is stuff like an MD-88, CRJ or smaller aircraft, so something that large is quite a treat.

They also had the VH-3D from HMX-1 there as well, although I don't know if it was pointed out. I saw it take off, but was too slow to get my camera out for a picture.

Was I imagining things or did I see guys from VF-31 hanging around there?

Sadly no, I was in a 172 when I first noticed them. When I got back from flying I noticed the canopies were open and they had been turned, and as soon as I got in my truck and started driving home, they were taking off. I was sitting at the light at the corner of Clyde Morris and Bellevue (In front of 25L) when they started taking off one after the other.
