Does anyone know where I can get damage control reports from incidents that ships have been involved in?

My senior project is to design a maritime fire supression system that is redundent when components are damaged. Example: The USS Stark was hit by an exocet and lost 1 of 2 water mains and this severly hampered firefighting onboard. I am going to design a valve operated automatic shut-off system that would isolate the damaged components.

If anyone knows where I can get damage control reports, I would be grateful.

You should try your library. They should have a government publications section. Look up NTSB reports. The Navy might also have records that you can check out there. You shouldn't have any problems finding info about the Stark incident.
