customized squadron coffee mug?

I was wondering if anyone here knew of any good places where I could purchase a personalized coffee mug for my father. He had one from when he was skipper of his squadron but it recently broke. My siblings and I thought that it would make a great Christmas gift if we could get him a replacement one. To answer the obvious question, we can’t call the squadron to order a new one because they have since been decommissioned. I know from my many visits to wardrooms on my summer cruises that most squadrons all have personalized mugs for each member. If anyone on here knows of places where their squadrons buy them I would greatly appreciate any help or info.

Just about every squadron goes with A&J Mugs in P-cola... They can probably reproduce it.

For what it's worth - I have (2) AJ-618gt mugs, (1) AJ-439 stein, and (1) AJ-7190 stein. Got them from a variety of different units...

Thanks for the quick reply, the trooper mug on their site looks just like the one my father used to have

My squadron didn't use them. I only bring this up because if we can find a store that had made that squadron logo before, the OP probably won't be charged an "art" fee.

@clonei09 - What squadron? Where was it homeported?

HH-60H---He was with VP-92 out of NAS South Weymouth for many years and during his command they moved up to Brunswick where he was only there for a few months to finish his command tour there. Also I contacted the people at A & J and they do not have a VP-92 logo on hand so it would be very expensive to create a new screen, so that put a damper on the project.

Harrier Dude--I checked the site you gave me and they have three different VP-92 logos listed so I think Ill try to give them a call tomorrow to see what the situation is. Thanks for your help and I'll never underestimate the power of the snack-o.

I would normally issue a scathing "chopper-boy" rebuttal, but seeing as you are a SAR guy, you get a pass. I don't piss off the SAR guys.

You do, however, incur a "minus 1 free beer" penalty if I ever run into you in a bar.

Wait a minute... I've flown in the D with a SAR swimmer on board because the SARDET was down... So I'm a SAR guy too!!

During periods where the SAR det is down and the phrogs are up (a rare event now that they have brand new 60s), you would qualify for the "no-chopper-boy-bashing" exemption.

But only during those periods.

Then again, you'd still incur all of the "minus 1 free beer" penalties that have accrued during all other periods. You might even end up owing me beer.

CUPLANT in Virginia Beach is a pretty good guy. We got all LSO School stuff through him.

+1 on CUPLANT. We got our squadron coffee mugs and beer steins from him. To judge by his shop, he supplies every squadron and most of the boats in Oceana/Norfolk. Good work and spiffy-quick, too.
