NEWS CTW1 T-45 is now a float plane

I guess this just happened here in San Diego. The pilot ejected safely and is now at Balboa Hospital. The plane is in the water at the end of RWY 29.

There is a good lesson to the studs in this - we brief this kind of thing every flight, It is important! And when things do go wrong, our safety systems work!

I flew 100 or so hours in this helo, after this incident. I'm not sure how much of an inspection it had after it's dry-out (HS-14, 2008).
