I am interested in Naval aviation and I am blue green deficient. How important is it to have color vision? Can I still fly with this? Could it possibly be waived? Thank you?

thanks for the info, fire friendly! Do you fly? Actually there is a waiver on the civilian side called the FAA Signal Light Test, which I've taken and passed. I have failed the lantern test at meps before, maybe I should try and take it again. Im not totally colorblind, I can see and tell the difference between all the colors, except on that damn Ishiara test.
