Color Blind Test

This is the same test they gave us when I went for my flight physical, if you can do these you should be okay.

You mean you got attacked by guys with knives in their heads? Man, you need to find another doc . . . :p

^^^ same with me. a couple of corpsmen jumped out at me with syringes at the ready last time I had a short form.

That's what happens when they lose your vaccination records.

I had some AF Sgt that took my blood, and blew up the vein, so my arm was black and blue for a couple of weeks.

he blew it up? I hate it when that happens. what did he use, C4? A grenade, ICBM?

Some HM2 did that to both my arms in Jax. They thought I was bad with needles since I was about ready to pass out. I said flat out, that guy sucks, can someone do it right?

then they administer the FALANT test I believe, you have to get a certain amount correct on that one to pass, its supposed to be a little easier but I wouldn't know cause I passed the first one.

the one that makes me mad is the depth perception test. my eyes will NOT work with those machines/aparatii; i have fantabulous depth perception. ?!?!

Is the FALANT test the one where there are three lights in a vertical line and you have to tell what color light is on? If so, you might have to take a "plate test" like the link in the first post and still take the FALANT even if you ace the plate test. That's what happened to me, and even though I thought the plate test was pretty simple, the colored-light test was significantly easier. Also, those depth perception machines are kinda tricky - if your eyes aren't lined up just right on the eyepiece then everything looks off a little bit. Remember, if you think your eyes are better than what they tell you at MEPS you can always go get a civilian professional to check you out. Well worth the cost, in my opinion. You're SOL if you are colorblind and/or have no depth perception, but definitely get a second opinion if you don't pass at MEPS.

I agree with the civilian doc thing though! Thankfully I can just pass the stereowhatever with 8/10 when 6/10 is fail. *whew*
