Student loans aren't that bad if you approach them with the proper tool
But in all seriousness if an ROTC scholarship doesn't come your way talk to both your ROTC adviser and your college academic adviser about scholarships available to you, there are a ridiculous number of scholarships out there and a bunch of $500 or $1000 scholarships will add up very quickly and help you out a lot in the long run.
