We only lost Vietnam because the Viet Cong had rudimentary versions of PowerPoint out Outlook at their disposal.
Seriously, I don't believe we lost the war...we as a natiom, lost the heart for the war. After hearing the tales of recent Vietnam Vets tours of Vietnam, I'm thinking, we may have actually won the war. Reports are the economy is booming, new construction & manufacturing on the rise... aand tourism increasingly popular.
Infrastructure & airfields devastated 5 decades ago, are rebuilt and modernized. Todays VN Citizens appear united, and no longer seem to dislike or begrudge Americans, we are welcomed warmly, especially by the younger generations. Are they enjoying much improved lives compare to pre-war? It appears so. There were no parades, marching bands, or airport welcomes for our return, but
maybe we didn't lose after all???
