Hi Everyone,

I work with children and had one of the parents come up to us with a list of service members' names and addresses (people that are in definite need of some cheering and those that aren't receiving any mail at all), and asked us to pick a couple and write to them for Christmas. That got me thinking, if one person has a list of fifty people then there are definitely others. I have a great group of kids and they have jumped on the idea of spreading a little holiday cheer to those that are stuck in Iraq or on deployment. I was wondering if there are others that anyone knew of, that are in the same position. If you are willing to give me names and contact info to those that you think could use a spirit boost please email me at lilnavytiger@aol.com. (Posting that sort of thing on here is not a good idea!) I'd like to do better than just picking a few and get at least Christmas cards in the mail to all that I can. You should see some of the wonderful pictures my kids are drawing!! It really just makes a difference - even to the kids. They know they are doing a good thing, an important thing.

One of my buddies is off to the desert with his platoon in the very near future. He gave me a few addresses to send some practical items to his boys. I asked him what he meant by practical, so he conjured up a list of what the infantry types would want. I haven’t really thought of a way to post addresses over the internet in an ethical manner, but this list may give an idea of some extra things to send.
