CVW Flyby...

"Pretty cool" was an understatement.

Looked like a real old-school Alpha Strike (sans the jinking, of course). I loved it!

(BTW, that Pappa-Three AOB I liked too. Well done. As were others. And I have never seen so many Phrogs in the air at once. Loved that too.)

BZ to all!

Cat et al; We watched from Ft. Rosecrans Cemetary (Pt. Loma), great view of show & NORIS, traffic not too bad. When the STENNIS Strike Group (my old CVW/Sqdn) flew by, I turned to my son and said "The last time I saw a formation like that, I was in it, going feet dry heading downtown"! :icon_help Awesome, brought a tear to these old peepers. CONA lives!

I've heard they have this new service called "The Youtube." I think one or two people may have used that here on AW.

i used the "share" link from the Tribune's website - when I QA'd it after posting here - it didn't work. Still recommend going to the website and checking it out though. its not on youtube - yet.

We kept taking pictures of these guys as they were below us in the Island Stack. One of our AWs on board had a nice camera and got some great shots, I'm hoping to get them soon.

I'm planning on attending them all . The Centennial website lists all three as Tier 1 events. What does that mean?

I would love to get a copy of your shots, I was flying -2.

I had bailed on the CAG flyover for my daughters birthday, but I still got drafted for the parade.

That was you, huh? We could see you guys from up at 16k. I remember making the comment that I was amazed to see so many up C-2s in one place at the same time! :)

There were quite a few aircraft that exceeded my expectations regarding the number of them simultaneously airborne yesterday. Props to the troops for making it happen.

The Maintenance Dept has been strokin' as of late!

the sheer volume of aircraft in the Whiskey area was impressive! Island stack was pretty busy too. Saw you guys in the stack & when you were ongoing to West IB. Big aircraft down low was impressive. The turn after show center had to be fun!
