MechEng
Hi Everyone,
I currently have a package in for the July 2017 CEC Board. I'm curious if anyone had any opinions on my chances of selection.
-I have a BS in Mechanical Eng (~2.9/4.0 GPA) and a MS in Mechanical Eng (~3.7/4.0 GPA)
-About 2 years experience as a Land Surveyor and 2 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer designing medical devices. This was an internship throughout my master program and I became full time after graduation.
-I have my EIT. I got it in march of 2014.
-I have a total of 5 LOR's. 3 professional (1 from my surveying job and 2 from my current engineering job) and 2 character refs, both from retired Navy CEC Captains.
-I scored a 61 on my OAR
-I have recently submitted a conference paper to an ASME conference which should get published.
-I'm active and workout 2/3 times a week and run 3/4 times a week.
I know I'm not the worst candidate. But I also know that CEC selection is very competitive.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks
-Matt
