Lol, good luck finding something that is reliable, affordable and has the performance of a Japanese sports car. Heck, my Stealth has features on par with current American luxury cars and right up there with European ones also...plus it outperforms almost anything on the road. Not bad for a 91.

Crown Victoria Police Interceptor... will move when needed, is reliable for years...etcetera, etcetera....my choice even though i should be about 50 to drive it. but of course i'll get hell for it but when its behind you, you'll most likely move out of the way. Still its not the fastest, or the best but its reliable and i trust it to take me wherever the Navy needs me and the best thing is to trust your vehicle when driving over 1000 miles every few years.

Crown Victoria Police Interceptors.... possibly the worst choice in a car. They tend to EXPLODE when they are rear ended.... not to mention that the doors get jammed when you get hit, so you can't get out of the burning car. <We went over the CVPI in my Engineering Ethics class>

the cars that explode have been quite few compared to the number of Crown Victorias on the road. Still i'd rather have that big car (which most likely i will survive a hit from) anywhere on the road. I bet if a Dodge Stratus were on the emergency lane of a highway half its life then it wouldnt fare too well when hit from behind either...i'd say much much worse. i've been hit, didnt have my doors jam and my car didnt explode in fact i was perfectly fine afterwards and the damn car still ran like a champ.

yup there are just like in every other car. I dont like the fuel tank where it is but i also dont want it right under me either. With that comes the fuel pump and its location which if hit from the rear will most likely fail later on if you're unlucky. after a few years it'll get a tranny shudder which is an easy fix but i'm lazy. other than that its a great car and lasted me and the previous constable for five years without a problem. to each their own i guess and i know there are two ways of seeing the car as a cop car or a granny car. either way i'm comfortable and confident that its not going to break down or catch fire on the highway. they last for hundreds of thousands of miles and their fleet service proves it. but thats just me its not a chick magnet but so what i'm married i like comfort and reliability more.

I have state farm insurance, and they make you watch this ridiculous video to lower ur yearly insurance amounts, it drops it like 200 bucks but man i dunno how u can take them seriously. There's on section the video where this incredibly ugly woman is rambling i guess trying to distract the driver, showing him pictures, trying to hug him, and the best part comes when she grabs the rearview mirror and wrenches it over towards her so she can smear lipstick all over her face. It was freakin hilarious, and it will undoubtedly have an enormous impact on my driving habits, NNOOTT.

Nice!

I own a solid old '87 Volvo 240. I'd like to get a '93 850 with all the right options, preferably stick.

I've heard from multiple Volvo shops that any Volvo made after '93 just isn't a real Volvo... cheaply built, less reliable, more expensive to repair, etc.

Still though... I'd like to get my hands on one of those all new S40s... if only they came with a standard transmission!! Aarrrgh.

1996 and before Impala SS is a great car... though you are hard pressed to find a nice one around here for less than about 17.

As for that Chrysler 300 C, they are coming out with a high performance version next year. The Hemi has been increased from 5.7 liters and 345 horses to 6.1 liters and 425 horses. Now if I could only afford it myself!
