CNN Presents "A Carrier at War" aired last night on CNN. The program is an inside look at the aircraft carrier John C. Stennis currently deployed suporting operations in Afghanistan. The show was both insightful and motivating. According to CNN's web-site it will air again at 7:00 and 11:00 pm tonight as well as 2:00 am on Monday. However, this depends on your local programming. If you can, watch it

ALso- for those interested- Discovery has USMC Bootcamp on at 8pm tonight. I have to miss the Simpsons but as weve previously discused, military life has its stresses. The last program on Parris Island did a horrible job showing the stress and fear DI's can inflict- it made it look easy. I wonder if this ones gonna be diferent. Semper Fi, LCpl O-man

O-man I saw the show your taking about and I agree that it didn't do boot camp justice. Maybe that's why they call those who go to San Diego "Hollywood Marines."

The one last night was cool- I saw two DI's that I knew on it. Onlt very briefly though. But the MCMAP instructors where the same so the whole thing was just fun as hell for me. It did a better job- I dont think you can show the worst parts of it all on TV. It was TREE hours long- what the piss....Its a good thing I didt have any real work to do that night. Catch it if you can. Oh yea, and i saw that carrier show too- that was bad ass. thanks for posting that.

I didn't get to see the whole show about boot camp last night, but from what I did see if it it was more accurate. I'm going to try and catch the whole show next time. Thanks for the heads up.

I caught parts of the Boot Camp show and got to see my old air wing on tv. It just didn't look right without the A-6's though.

and its a damn shame that the A6 is gone too. What the piss where they thinking getting rid of it.....I hear a whole world of all weather bombing knowlege went right out the door when they did that.
