Has anyone out there used or is using the Training Program from the Candidate Preparation Guide, here is a link to it http://www.ocs.usmc.mil/Candidate Prep Files/PTProgram.htm
They recommend that you start using it 8 weeks prior to your arrival at OCS.
My concern with this program is that it seems like it would be overtraining the muscles and you wouldn't really see as much improvement as you would if you rested for more days. (you have to rest a muscle for a few days after you have exerted it for it to rebuild AND grow stronger) And that the amount of push ups, pullups, dips, etc. wont see much improvement from the start of the program until the end. I know most of us would want to go to OCS in optimal condition, I just have doubts about whether this plan can take someone there. However it is recommended by OCS and I see that, I'd just like to hear everyones thoughts on this.
