Others from my squadron..

LT "Jack" Meuff (Me-Off)
LT Taulli "Whacker"
LT "Master" Bates

LTJG "Penis Wrinkle" (nametag says WRINKLE)
"Waveoff" - Got caught taggin a SWO in the HCO Tower and activated waveoff lights.
NAFOD- Man is SCARY at the boat. Yes, that really is his callsign.

We've got a guy in our squadron that lost his entire finger egressing from a jet (wedding ring hung on the canopy rail). Callsign "Shocker".

Saw his picture in Approach magazine. If you have to lose a finger, well... that's ideal :)

Did he punch out or did he manage to land that thing. How good of Prowler pilot is he? :D

I'm fairly sure he punched. Never flown with him, so I couldn't tell ya, but the USAF isn't in the habit of sending their water-walkers to the Prowler exchange program, with the exception of "Trixie." She was worth her weight in gold.

We had a female ECMO in my last squadron...callsign GRASS. It was a combination of Great and @ss. :D

Knew a guy who had a little problem with his throttle control while taxiing on the flight deck...BAGDAD...Blow Another Guy Down the Angle Deck. I think he eventually got FNAEB'd.

"Wedge"...the first tool.

It's starting to catch on to that guy I told you about within the plebes in our company...

Air Force week went a little too far with him -- someone put piss in a febreeeze bottle and sprayed his closet with it...

I read an article once about a chick navy pilot c/s SUMART - Shut Up Men ARe Talking.

I've had my callsign since advanced at VT-4 back in P-cola. That was when VT-4 trained E2/C2 pilots, not NFO's. Just one of those that stuck and everybody, wives, CO's, XO's, CAG's, ADM, etc know me as Bunky.

My favorite has to be a Marine buddy's, some might know him.......his call sign is Bro, from the Sienfeld episode. He's slightly overweight and while PTing one day, he was sweating and rings formed around his man breasts. Thus his callsign is now and will always be Bro.

FRIBAT punched out on faith alone. He was Dash-4 on a division L/L when he hit a guide wire to a big tower. It spun/flipped/rolled him in all different directions/axis and he pulled the handle without knowing he would make it. He pulled at just the right moment and walked away. Only flew when he had too.

when you come back from the fleet to be an IP at the FRS do they tone your callsign down? Maybe I was just imagining things, but it seemed like the callsigns I saw over at the Rhino RAG were tamer than the c/s's at the fleet squadron I did my 1/c cruise with

Callsigns don't change too much, generally.

Brett

At some squadrons they will tone them down for the arrival of wimminfolk, or a CO that is afraid of being un-PC.

We stopped giving out "official" callsigns after the last COC...
