Buzz Lightyear joins the USAF!

As if we did not have enough things to make fun of our colleagues in the USAF they give us yet another reason, and another set of wings. When I first saw someone wearing this on their flight suit nametag (yes, they get to wear flight suits because they fly spacecraft and missiles), I honestly thought it was a joke......but sadly it was not . It replaces the Missile Badge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missile_Badge and the Space and Missile Badge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_and_Missile_Badge

I present to you the new Master Space and Missile Operations Badge (Note the remarkable resemblance to Buzz Lightyears wings )

You know, I get tired of you Navy guys bashing my service every time I turn around. However, this one is a-ok in my book. The space weenies have been complaining for years about not being treated like "operators." So what did the AF do? We gave them blue flight suits so they can sit comfortably in their hole in the ground. Those went away and the AF had to give them the OD green flight suit so they wouldn't whine and complain. Apparently the green flight suits weren't good enough, and they had to redesign their function badge to emulate our wings. :irked_125

Personally, I think the new badge is gay and agree with Flash, looks like Buzz Lightyear's wings...

I sit in front of a computer 8 hours a day, so that makes pretty close to a silo operator. Hell, I just finished 14 hours straight writing up my final.

I think a more appropriate image would be a 64oz coffee mug surronded by wings.

Its easy to hit on the space and missle guys, and I know that the AF flyers do it too, but in reality they're just as important, if not more important than the ironed suit flying club.

Look at the bright side, when you're done at whiting you'll have a bunch of things to ***** about during those long air conditioned shuttle bus rides once you return to reflective-belt land.
