I saw that on the news, thought it was hilarious. He can't give speeches but he is definitely a great sport.

I'm sure [strike]everyone[/strike] most people have seen Stephen Colbert's speech. I thought that it was the ballsiest gesture I've seen out of the MSM (because, honestly - if you're at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, you're a part of the MSM) in regards to anything about the actions of the Bush Administration. Regardless of whether or not it was justified, it was on par with the Imus speech of '97.

And supposedly the CINC was royally pissed, too. I dunno, I gave it 50/50, some of it was funny and other times I just thought . . . umm . . . WTF? That did take balls though, no doubt.

Apparently all that humility and willingness to make fun of himself doesn't really apply when someone else is giving the shots. At least Justice Scalia has a sense of humor. The only thing I didn't really like was how some of the material was recycled from the Colbert Report, although I doubt that very many people in the White House watch it anyway. Also, it looks like Colbert was reading airwarriors for material...
Now, I know there are some polls out there saying this man has a 32% approval rating. But guys like us, we don't pay attention to the polls. We know that polls are just a collection of statistics that reflect what people are thinking in "reality." And reality has a well-known liberal bias.

I love Stephen Colbert and his show and I was sitting around on Saturday night watching him roast the CINC. I was pretty impressed that he did not tone down his material, even though some portions of it made me cringe! If Mr. Colbert was an active member of Airwarriors, he would definitely earn my rep points! Also, the skit the CINC did was priceless. My favorite part was when he said something to the affect of " This other guy did all of my debates with Kerry.. and he didn't do very well " .. Priceless.
