Build an airplane in 7 minutes

Ask me about ninjas!
Yep, it's big alright. But it IS french, and they seem to have this whole inferiority complex thing going for them.

saw the special on that massive thing on national geograhpic. I work for fedex and they ordered 10 with options for 10 more. I'd love to come back and fly one of those for fedex.

I actually got to tour the Nantes, France Airbus manuf facility where they make the wingbox section of the fuselage for those, and later that week I got to see what I think was the first public flight of the big bird at the 2005 Paris Airshow, it was a really great week!

Thanks for the video, that was really interesting.

you have to build airplanes in 7 minutes if your country is rife with socialist labor laws. The problem is though they built it in 7 minutes they all got paid for a full day and didnt do anything else.

Guys ... let us get a grip, here. The ONLY things the French have EVER done right are:

A4s...gotta disagree! French wine is way overrated. For my money, California and Australian reds are much better.

As for sinks, that's the shortest sink I've ever seen! ;)

Due to the government,I feel over-stimulated.
Airbus or Airbust?

I read a write up yesterday while travellinghome about how Airbus may have to re-redesign the new A350, the rival for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, for new ultralarge international jetliners. The choice is, put it out right away and have a substandard product out there, or delay release a few more years and have it available just after all the big players get their new Boeings?
IF (I stress if) the article is accurate, this may put Boeing on top for a long time in the widebody wars. ??? Time will tell...

Yes. I am a Pirate.
Is it me or is that a really inefficient way to build an airplane that big?

I mean building the large sections all over Europe? Then shipping them to France to assemble? That seems more than a little inefficient, but I guess it has to be to satisfy the multinational feelings.

Boeing or Airbus ... ???

My $20 worth ..... since I've flown samples of both ....

Airbus is a piece-of-sh!t ..... all models, no excuses.

Boeing is a quality product ..... some models, no excuses.

It's not like the "old" Boeing, granted .... and Airbus hadn't even been born then ...... If anyone disagrees .... no problem-o .... it's a free (?) country (unlike Europe) .... and you are wrong. :)

That's why Socialism is great. Every piece of the proletariat gets involved in making one plane. In fact, each section gets trucked around all of Europe on tour before it's assembled.

All French wine comes from transferred California grape stock...

That reason they ship the pieces in from all over Europe to France is the French can't actually fabricate anything on their own. All they can do is follow brightly colored diagrams with neato pictures like an instruction manual for Lincoln Logs, except, in France they call the Napoleon Logs, and the little buildings collapse after the building gets too big. I'm just waiting for a wing to fall off a 380, then we'll see who's so smart...

I'm not doubting, but I'm just curious as to what makes a plane like that sh!tty.

As far as France goes, I've been. I'd rather go to Idaho. No offense to the fine people of Idaho.
