There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.

lol..."dead" in hex = 57005 dec

At first I thought it was some kind of "Haha, you don't READ Hex" question or something like that.

Ok, I got one:

You have two rooms. One room with three switches. One room with three overhead lights.

Each switch controls one light.

You can only go into the room with the lights once. How can you figure out which switch controls which light?

One of my girlfriends asked me this and said that schizophrenics can answer this question and get it right without even thinking about it.

Which switch controls which light? We ain't got time for that.

Blow the wall, throw a few frags, clear the room, and move on.

You think you hate it now...
Well, I must not be schizophrenic, b/c I actually had to think about it for a minute. But here's the answer:

You turn on one swith for 15 minutes or so and then turn it off. Turn on a second switch and then go into room #2. The bulb that is on is controlled by switch #2. The hot, dark bulb is switch #1. The cool bulb is #3.

Riddle me this:

When Nita Bath the waitress at the Dirty Duck Restaurant brought Detective Sergeant Hans Zupp his usual cup of coffee, she had something. special to tell him.

"Those three fellows at the far table are up to something," Nita whispered. "I saw one of them slip a revolver to one of the others he called Eddie. By their accents, I'd say they're all foreign. One of them English, one's an Australian and I think the other one is French."

"Which is which?" asked the Detective.

"The one on Eddie's right is the Australian, and the Frenchman is on the Englishman's right."

"Which one is Eddie?" asked the Detective, but Nita was called away before she could answer, and the three men were getting up to leave.

The detective followed the men outside, made an excuse to get them into conversation and--having already worked out for himself what Eddie's nationality was--soon discovered who was carrying the gun.

Which one was Eddie?

Here are a few:

There was once two Marines standing guard on opposite ends of the ship. One was looking west, one was looking east...but they could both see each other clearly. (No, the ship is not on the North/South Pole)

How did they manage this?
--
Three men book a hotel room for $30. They each pay $10. The hotel manager realizes that he has overcharged them by $5, and sends the bellboy to give them back their money.

The bellboy decides that it is too difficult to divide up $5 among three people, so he pockets $2 and gives them each $1 back (so they each only pay $9).

3 men x $9 = $27
$27 + $2 (that the bellboy took) = only $29.

So where did that last dollar go?
--

There is a hotel with 12 rooms. 13 guests come at the same time. The bellboy thinks for a minute, and then says ok. We can do it.

He takes guest #1 and guest #13 to room #1. Then he takes guest #3 to room 2, guest #4 to room 3 and so on. Finally he takes guest #12 to room 11 and gets guest #13 from the first room and shows him to room 12.

So everyone has his own room, right?

Three men book a hotel room for $30 ...

Paid 10 each, got one back. Total is 27. This total equals what the hotel manager plus the bellboy got.

To the 27 they paid you add 3 (what they got back) to get your original 30 bucks.

You've left out guest #2, right? Please, oh please, tell me I'm right!
