I will be starting IFS in May and was wondering if anyone had a good book recommendation so I can start studying a little early.

I highly recommend going out to your local airport (probably where you'll be flying your IFS) and purchasing Jeppesen Private Pilot books. That's pretty much the standard for part 61 and part 141 instruction in the GA world anyway.

I dont know particularly what the military will want you to be studying, but it will probably be the same sort of GA curriculum (complete speculation on my part though). If you can, figure out who is going to be giving you your IFS instruction (school or person) and ask them directly what you should obtain.

That be my thoughts on the subject.
