I, for some reason, have TAC-2 for our squadron memorized. I don't know why, it just stays in my brain.
You will. You'll do ops with other squadrons, and they'll ask for your Tac Freq if they wanna contact you...
My Kneeboard:
On rings I keep
-Combat Checklist
-Sierra Codes
-MIDS gouge
-Any system I'm flying with (ATFLIR, JDAM, HARM) which isn't always strapped to the jet.
I keep a comm card underneath the plastic. On the clip I put a mission card, a blank card to write notes, and an inflight guide. If we're doing CAS, I also keep a laminated chart in the side pocket with a grease pencil. Same goes for any classified KBCs. PCL goes underneath the kneeboard.
All the other gouge (many, many pages worth) is in the "blue brains" I keep in my helmet bag unless I need it.
I know some guys who work two kneeboards, especially in CAS...
