Thanks

What I realy meant to say was why do they sometimes wear a gold uniform? The uniform has been blue for years and believe they have worn gold a few seasons. But I see photos here and there even from 2002 of them wearing gold. I was just wondering what the deal with that is, is it just for special occasions or do they wear the gold every X number of shows?

Burner....back in the day they suited up in the yellow jamies. Your right, untill recently they only wore their Blue suit. I'm not sure, but I think the switching of uniforms was so that the old tradition of Yellow suits would not die, I personally like the Blue ones better, but the Yellow is all the same. Who cares anyway, I would wear a brown suit with pink dots to be a "Blue" Angel.

JayManC.....The Blues do not where G-Suits. This is because of the way they position their arm on their thigh to deal with the nose down trim they always have on the jet(easier to fly formation(smoother)). If they wore G-suits, the inflateing of the bladder on the thight would poteinally distrubt the arm, which could lead to unwanted control movement on of the aircraft (not something you want in a very, very tight formation)

Dont ask why I know this!
