It's all over facebook, too. With such a high profile mishap, it's only inevitable.

I figured, it doesn't take a genius to figure out which aircraft is missing when they land, unfortunately that makes the job harder for those that have to notify the next of kin as their is .not much time before the name is out.

When the last one went down, it was a total mess because the media was reporting #5 had crashed when really it was #6. Talk about an emotional roller coaster for the families.

It's about the terror that they cause in people when they strafe neighborhoods

Wow, strafing neighborhoods now? Impressive seeing as how they don't have a gun installed in their airplanes....

People indeed are fucking morons.

Sat behind the t-birds at the memorial in pcola. Clearly they were moved, just as any one of the naturally heroic SOBs that do what they do would be. An impressive and hugely humbling thing to be a part of. Tremendous display of our brother/sisterhood. Godspeed Kooch.

Article on investigation results here. Cause: pilot error. Too fast and too low for the split S maneuver. The Blues are suspending this maneuver.

Cause determined for the Thunderbird crash, the throttle trigger was stuck and it allowed the pilot to inadvertently shut the engine down. We had the German instructor at VT-86 do the same thing in the T-2, the student caught it and they were able to restart it in time. The stud got 3 aboves.

The comments are a little more interesting than usual with folks calling it a cover-up, apparently it is President's Obama's fault.
