Binghamton Air Show

Cron

Yankee Uniform Tango
I took 200+ pics yesterday at the air show in Binghamton, NY. It was good fun, and I managed to meet some good people and see some cool birds. Unfortunately some of the performances were canceled due to an approaching storm (e.g. the Navy heritage flight). High-res' are available for those want them.

PS. Some AF recruiters approached me and spoke about aviation. I told them I'll be going USMC, and they started telling me how much Marines suck, and how all AF pilots get to go golfing at the end of each day. Up until that point I thought that whole golf-angle was just a bad joke. I was at a loss for words...

Anybody know who got to take Whiting's T-34?

I wonder how much it costs to fly around in your own personal OV-10?...

53 shenanigans. Callsign on helmet "McLovin." Bad movie callsigns.

I happen to know both the IP and Student that were at that airshow. Yes, the student is French and the IP is an awesome guy. Cross Country-ed with him last weekend to an airshow in TX. Lots of fun!

To the Primary students: Cross countrying to an airshow is a blast. If you find one, definitely go. I had a great time last weekend with it.

No one's noticed the second Whiting bird in the back ground. Looks like they split the scene and went to the bar.

I'm not certain, but 169 might be one of the deer-slayer aircraft.

Might be a contract bird. The Army retires them, then turns around and contracts the now privately owned ones to fly for them. Gotta love the government.
