best electric shaver

I will never give up the beloved Mach 3, but its getting to expensive to shave with it everyday.

I've never had any luck with electric shavers (Norelco rotary just don't give me a close shave) until I tried my friends Panasonic foil one last year.

Any recommendations? I'm specifically looking for a good foil.

This is what I have, and I love it. I use it in the shower with shaving cream, and get almost as close as a blade. I switched because of irritation and don't think I'm going back anytime soon. You can get the cleaning cartridges online pretty cheap too.

nice, I was looking at that one on Amazon as well.

I get 3-5 shaves out of my blades, depending how short it was before I cut it.

Are you serious? Are you a wooly mammoth or something? I thought I was hairy and I use my Mach 3 blades for quite a while.

Anyway, when I'm not using a Mach 3 (which nowadays is typically just over the summer when I go to sea or have some sort of training), I use the Braun 7505. I get a great shave and it's not very irritating at all as long as you don't constantly switch back and forth between razor and electric. I don't use shaving cream with this model (in fact, I didn't even know you could with electric ones...). It's very easy to clean; you just dump out the hair and get the finer parts with a brush and I'd say after a couple months of use I just take off the razor portions and put it in a cup of rubbing alcohol and then it drys and feels like new.

I was always a fan of the Mach 3 but I recently picked up the fusion and it takes a little while to get used to but I love it. I had an electric for a while but the blade just gives you a closer shave. I was using a Braun 8995 for the electric.

I use a braun with letric shave before I shave it it does pretty well. And I can grow a beard in about 3 days if I wanted...

Note: My avatar is a picture of me after I didn't shave for 5 days..

I use the Mach too, and one blade would last me 2 or maybe 3 uses, which was getting REALLY expensive (about $12 for a pack of 4 every week or week and a half). But not any more! I’m loving life now not having to shave every day!! I got tired of shaving and the irritation it caused, so I got permanent lazier hair reduction/removal. Hair still grows, but it’s VERY thin and fine like peach fuzz. Hair only becomes noticeable after about 8 or 9 days, so I shave it. When I do shave it feels like I’m not shaving anything because the hairs are really fine – like butta’!. Currently, one Mach blade will last me, well… I’ll let you know how long it lasts. So far, its been a few weeks before I had to change ‘um.

Use this. You'll never get a closer shave with anything else.

I use a Fusion. They are a little pricier on the initial outlay, but they lasted longer than the mach 3s (anything over a week with those was irritation city). I've never had an electric work well, and I gave up trying after the third one at around 100 bucks a pop.

I was using a Fusion Power before I switched to the electric. I had similar experiences with electric. I had used Norelco, Remginton, Braun, and an early Panasonic. So far - I haven't found the usual problems with my current one. That is, unless I go two days without shaving - then the neck hair is a problem...

I highly recommend using Letric shave and Nivea soothing balm. I used to get irritation all the time, but after using those I haven't had any problems.
