Where in Pcola is Bamboo Willies at? I've been to all of the other places on the poll except that one. I'll be visiting Pcola in a few weeks, so any where new to try out would be great!
And for the record: yes, I too hate Seville's (siphillus corridor)....I refuse to go there when I visit. The Flora Bama is where I like to go when the weather is nice...cheap beer, ocean view, lots of people to laugh at! (On the other hand, the Bama sucks when a rainstorm sneaks up on you and you have to stand in the pouring rain to wait for a taxi)

I mean really, the only people who I saw there on my 2 trips (I had no choice the 2nd time) were OCS fools trying to pull some game in their good humor uniforms and about a thousand fresh out of boot NATCC students gaming high schoolers. There's a lot more tail in pcola that is of age, so really, why are you going to seville?

dick's and stingers are probably the two lamest bars in corpus. stingers is the equiv. of seville in pcola (18 and up). most people wind up at 21 (expensive as f-ck), murdock's (good hangout bar, but a swordfight), or mulligan's (hit or miss).

21 was what put Dragon Lounge out of business. D.L. was similar to 21, except it wasn't full of Corpus's "elite" (i.e. newscasters, politicians, and low-end hockey players). They opened 21 just before I was winged, back in 2000, and all I remember were 7 dollar weak-ass gin and tonics and a 15 dollar cover.
What is "Stingers"? Is it on the same block, opposite corner, from Dick's?

Mcguires??? what the hell, I swear I could still drain some Irish Wake from my Viens!!! How could you not include it.......Thursday night pick up cheap chicks cause they drink for free.........then make your way over to Squids and Kids........oh man.....it seems so long ago.......but it was just two months.....
Corpus is cool for a month........then it sucks because you've been there done that.....I always see the same people when I go out and it is lame........but I still seem to have fun.....

Bamboo's all the way...at least until September, when the beach dries up and you're forced to go to sevilles. The Dock is a good Wednesday bar...5 bucks all you can drink until midnight, but sucks every other night. Make sure you make it to Nawlins at least for a weekend or two while you're there, definitely worth the trip!
As for Corpus, definitely lacking everything. Thursday nights are alright downtown with college night...plenty of women at Stingers/Dead Eyes. Friday nights are a ghost town in downtown Corpus, everybody goes to Farah's where half the wing goes and there's like 3 bartenders, so it takes an hour to get a drink. Saturdays are a bit better downtown, but nothing spectacular as everyone else has mentioned. Some other bars not mentioned: Mulligans for cheap beer and foosball, O'Malley's for some pool or GT. Buffalo Wild Wings (formerly BW-3) opened up down here too with 10 big screens...definitely the place to go for football or basketball!
