Fellas,

Going to be on my way to Kingsville soon, but will live in Corpus. What's the scene these days? I was a SNA with VT-28 a few years ago. I can't even remember the places I used to go to... Sharky's, Club 21, and some place under the bridge. Time for my shore tour and I am ready to slip into a day-to-day stupor. :icon_smil

I'm taking you to the looneybin.
EH,

Was wondering the same thing, I am headed back to VTs. From what I have heard, it is pretty much all the same sad lame spots: Sharky's, 21 (might be called something different now), Farah's, Murdock's, BW3, Corpus Christi Center for Perfoming Arts, etc... Now we just have more $$$ and time to spend it.

Only been here a month, so I don't know much, but Farah's on the island is a good spot on Friday nights, if you don't mind hanging out with half the training wing. There were a lot of hot chicks there both times I went, and the bartenders are pretty good looking as well. Murdock's is cool, cheap booze, good place to watch sports/hang out/play pool. It's more chill, but seems like less girls. Only place I've been downtown is Executive Surf Club. Pretty chill place, live music like 5 nights a week, good selection on tap. That's about it. I'd like to hear about some good places to get plastered, I mean have a few, as well.

Oh yea, one more, and don't ask me how I ended up there, cause I couldn't tell you, but there's a cowboy bar called Ropers on Everhart(?)....I'm pretty sure it's Everhart...we ended up there late one night, it was PACKED. Wear your Wranglers and cowboy hat though. We were wearing shorts and sandals, and were WAY out of place. But, we stayed and got drunk anyway. Never seen line-dancing to rap/hip-hop until that night, it's pretty amusing.

Hey any place that you have a country band singing Gwen Stefani and Usher in between cover songs of country music and that serves individual beers in mini pitchers has to be the cat's meow...

Ropers, eh? There used to be a place names Stetson's near there with the same country type stuff with dance music also. We were also the dudes in board shorts and Reefs, still had fun. I wonder if the name changed.
Farah's is solid. Does anybody bring their boat up and park it behind Farah's. Drinking and boating, YES!!!
Is Club 21 still the same, martinis, chill atmosphere...?
Midnight Rodeo sounds like my kinda place, I'll see ya there SFG!
