I get mine based on my permanent home address (parent's house).

I believe it is by school. BAH for my where my house is, is diddly squat... I get Military District Washington BAH.

I've never heard of a case where BAH was based on anything other than Duty Station (your school). I'm sure there are special situations, but I've never heard of it.

Well, on my LES it shows my parent's zip code, and according to the place online where you can calculate BAH (I don't remember where it was, but its given in one of thesethreads) I'm being paid the right amount for my parent's zip. I'm not complaining because its about $200 more than I'd get at school.

For some reason mine is based out of Longview... I asked my recruiter to figure that one out, but he hasen't got back to me on it. I just graduated from A&M in May... I should have been getting BAH in College Station.

No, I don't live in Longview nor have I ever been there. I really have no idea why my BAH is based out of there.

BHA is based on geographical zones. Then they take a group of zip codes and make a geographical zone.

ie. 79849, 79848, 79847 = one group ==> they get paid the same $$$.
