Anyone in BDCP could probably answer this. I have not recieved my first paycheck yet, and I just logged into MyPay through DFAS.mil. I added in my direct deposit info, so I'm assuming the just cut a check through my recruiter. Upon looking through my LES statement, I see that I got about 300 in BAS and only 9.10 in BAH. BAH for my area is 936/month. So it looks like I'm getting gipped about 925 bucks. My BAH is listed as Partial.

Anyone else have trouble w/ BAH?

Who do I contact? I can't get ahold of my recruiter, should I just call DFAS and tell them they have everything wrong?

My first LES online shows a very small BAH (less than $10)- I just figured that it was because it was for only part of the month

I think I know what it is. If you go to DFAS and look at the BAH amounts <its where you see pay based on service years>; you will see that there is a partial amount. That is about 7 a month. If you look on your LES it has a slot that says VHA Zip. I think this is wehre they are supposed to put your zipcode. Mine says 00000. This leads me to believe that they dont know where I'm stationed and thus can't pay me. I'm calling DFAS as soon as I leave work to check on it.

There is no MAX. If you haven't gotten paid BAH for the past few months, your next check will be huge.

To get your pay straight you have to do the following:

Your NRD is responsible for you, meaning that they have to take care of all the admin. problems. Contact your OPO and let him know that you are falling behind your bills. And that you are thinking about getting a job to get some money to pay the rent. AS soon as he hears this he will tell the processor ~ admin guy. to fix your pay ASAP or else.

And if this does not do it, contact your community accessions officer, he will get on their A$$ in no time, because they don't want you to get into financial trouble of any kind.

If you follow my advice, by July 01 you will get a HUGE check, because it takes no time to fix the problem ~ they are just lazy.

I called DFAS, and the lady that I talked to says she straitened everything out. I fired my recruiter an Email letting him know what I did, and he responded saying everything would be good by July 1. So July 1 I should have over 5g coming.

Why do they care if you are in financial trouble?
