Bottles, Highballs, or Shots?

8 I'm good and drunk. And about getting angry.

Scotch and other Whisky makes me angry
Tequila makes me crazy, immortal and invincible. And an expert on law.

I only drink Scotch out of the bottle. Passing the bottle around after you get off the helo seems to be the accepted method among the Scots I work with.

It would be impolite not to take a swig.

Not to be rude, but what makes you think anything has changed?
Not rude, but things change all the time. Maybe having more or less time for certain things, training pipeline? More services wiling to watch/cater to your pet while on deployment Not sure but doesn’t hurt to check ever so often, things evolve but now as I go through this process I’m realizing that the military isn’t very innovative

And yes, I have a dog

A common thread of the gold wings job is that the point of the job is to go do stuff overseas, usually on a ship. A big part of that, while “home”, is to train to do those things in places away from home. That is going to make pet care impossible without help.

Maybe drone operators in Creech or missile officers in Minot have a better compatibility with single pet owner life.

It's rotating shift work for RPAs across the country and the missiliers are 24 on 24 off or worse. A single person will still need someone at home on a regular schedule to really care for pets properly.

When wifey is away, we have to have a pet sitter come help take care of the dogs and cat, and my squadron is pretty chill with our 8-hour shifts.
